I’ve said it before and imma say it again, can’t nobody afford to buy a house right now and if you can how bloody great for you, I’m not bitter at all *side eyes*.
Just because you are renting it doesn’t mean you can’t have nice things and there are plenty of ways to add your personality to your space without making permanent changes.
Before I begin it is very important to have a conversation with your landlord about what is permissible, most are fine with reversible changes but it is always a good idea to double check.
Change your knobs
One very easy way to update you rental kitchen is to switch out your knobs and drawer pulls. It goes without saying but make sure you keep the original knobs somewhere safe so you can put them back when you leave. You would be surprised how just changing drawer pulls can instantly upgrade your cabinets.
Accessorize your arse off
This! This is how you add character whether you own your home or not. If you like bright colours buy yourself a turquoise toaster, if you love marble buy yourself a marble storage container, there are even gold dish racks. There are so many options for you to choose from so go wild! Live yo life!
I’m calling it guys, I think this may be my favourite tip! This is a super convenient and reversible way to add some colour and pattern to your kitchen. You just peel them off and stick, it’s as simple as that. When you are done remove them, wipe down the tiles/wall, et voila! It’s like they were never there.
There we are guys, 3 simple ways to update your rental kitchen without losing your deposit or home lol! Please do leave comments and let me know if you try any of them out I would love to see 🙂
