I’m gonna keep it real with you guys – I’ve been in a slight funk and I am worn the fuck out! July has been chocka-block and my creative juices seemed to have stopped flowing. But! In the spirit of opening up and what not, I have decided rather than go MIA I am dedicating this week’s post to how I get myself out of a funk and if I can help anyone else out who is feeling the same. Well that would just make my day 🙂
First things first, that’s life. At some point you are going to feel overworked, down in the dumps and just plain shitty. It happens to the best of us and one key thing for me is just acknowledging the fact that I don’t feel like a boss, but that’s okay because it’s only for a period of time. Don’t live in that negative energy, have a little cry, eat a shit ton of chocolate, then pick yourself up and move on.
Another thing I find helpful is to confide in the people closest to you. Too often we like shoulder our problems rather than ask for help. I am very guilty of this but as they say a problem shared is a problem halved. If you are lucky enough to have good support system around you, use them!
Do the things that make you happy, it really is as simple as that. Nothing makes me happier than binge watching HGTV home décor shows, having a fat munch with my love or a night out with the girls. So when I do feel a bit shite that’s what I’ll do. It’s very easy to wallow but it can be just as easy to pick yourself up. Get out there and do the things that lift your spirit! Disclaimer, don’t do nothing crazy. I will not be held accountable!
Anyway that is enough of my ramblings; this girl has got some work to do! Back to regular programming next week but I would love to hear from you and how you get yourself out of a rut.
